Tough challenge vs. Dreamland Gran Canaria and the losing streak at their arena in quarterfinals Game 2

Valencia Basket men's team faces the tough challenge of trying to take advantage of the first of their two chances to book a ticket to the Endesa League semifinals in Game 2 of their quarterfinal series against Dreamland Gran Canaria (Wednesday 4th, 9:15 PM, Gran Canaria Arena, Vamos/Movistar+ Deportes), with the additional goal of breaking the losing streak we’ve suffered at this venue since 2016.
Pedro Martínez’s men relied on a historic third quarter in the title-playoff series to secure the first win of the series at La Fonteta with a 98-74 scoreline, marking their first Game 1 victory in a playoff quarterfinal in three years after starting the last few with defeats.
Despite their strong performance in Game 1—and the quality of an opponent that showed similar dominance over Valencia in the Copa del Rey matchup in February—history gives plenty of reasons for caution: Valencia Basket has lost its last nine Endesa League games at the Gran Canaria Arena. The only time they visited this venue for a playoff game, we lost by 27 points and went on to lose the series. Moreover, we've only managed to close out a best-of-three ACB quarterfinal series in two games once out of seven times when starting with a win at home.
The squad will remain unchanged for this second clash, as alongside long-term injury absentee Ethan Happ, head coach Pedro Martínez still cannot count on Stefan Jovic or Amida Brimah.
